This wasn't really a ghost sighting but when I went to bed one night I could hear people talking and laughing down in my basement. I could also hear music from about the 1900s. My parents were asleep. It was really weird since there wasn't a record player downstairs....

When I was still an infant, my parents and I moved in with my grandparents who lived in Lakeville. Their house was very big, and their land stretched back into the dense forest line. My aunt and uncle were still in high school, so it was a full house most of the time. Many strange things have happened in the house and in the woods surrounding.
First my aunt told me that when she was about ten years old she had woken up in the middle of the night and saw a little girl (looked like an eight-year-old) wearing a white gown, walk out of the woods, and stare right at her from across the yard and said ''help me. '' My parents told me that I would frequently wave and talk to the woods whenever I saw them. My brother would say that he would wake up and see faces looking at him from the window in his bedroom.
But to be completely honest, the creepiest thing that happened in the house was when my dad was getting ready to work the nightshift; and as he was getting ready to leave he heard what sounded like little child feet running up and down the hallway. No one else was awake, and I not being able to walk and my brother being thirteen, there was no explanation. I truly think that the land (mostly the woods) is home to one or maybe many spirits from the colonial times, but once I am ready; I plan to take my paranormal equipment and investigate.
