Comment by Elle: Just wanted to reply to your question- when we are in a traumatic accident and / or on the verge of death your brain releases a chemical called DMT. This has been studied extensively and researched on fighter pilots. This seems to be the reason for seeing things/many of the experiences people have when near death. There's a common core to almost all stories like yours, and scientists are almost positive this is a direct result of dmt as it can be replicated quite regularly with the sightings of spirits/loved ones/comments etc. Look into it. It's insanely interesting!.

I am a student at Middlesex Community College but I have lived in Lowell all my life. My boyfriend wanted to take me out somewhere secluded so he took me to Umass Lowell's abandoned ''west campus''. I think it is an abandoned elementary school because there are ''children'' signs posted all over.
Either way every building is condemned. We decided to go into one of the buildings on the far end of the campus. I felt freaked out the moment I stepped inside and wanted to leave. He wanted to stay so I reluctantly continued.|
Quickly after I felt as if someone else was in the building. Fearing the homeless I again asked to leave. It was very dark and the place was falling apart. As we continued something flew up and hit my boyfriend in the groin.
I was really freaked out by this time and begged him again to leave. He assumed it was part of the building but I saw that it was in fact a child's toy. I then began to smell a very strong odor.
