Comment by Joey: Yes, I heard about this story. The lane is still there, and people do live on the lane. There was a group called Friends of Craig that investigated the story in the 1990s. This groups posted stories or research about the ghost of Langdon and posted in the local town paper called the Lawson News, which was a local neighborhood paper. Not sure what happened to newspaper or Friends of Craig .

According to many lists of the most haunted places in Massachusetts the Mordecai Lincoln Mill near the rotary is very haunted. The mill was built in 1691-1692 by Mordecai Lincoln, the great-great-great-grandfather of Abraham Lincoln. The mill is presently abandoned and has fallen into disrepair. Apparently a young girl drowned in the nearby pond. Multiple passerby's have reported seeing a figure of a child in the windows. The child has been seen sometimes scratching at the window panes. There have also been reports screams and cries for help coming from both the mill and the pond.

Back in the 1980s I remember being told a true story about a carpenter working in the west end of Scituate in an old farm house. The carpenter was working with a crew of men doing a renovation. While he was hammering nails on the floor boards in an upstairs room the board sprung up on him each time he attempted to hammer the nails. It was as though someone was below the floor hitting the board from underneath. He was the only one upstairs at the time and thought it was the guys downstairs playing tricks on him. After about the third or fourth time of the board popping up on him, he ran downstairs to find no one there. He looked out into the driveway and noticed their trucks were gone and had already gone to lunch.
