In third grade I was in the elementary school in Westport Massachusetts. I was in my class room and the door to get into the next classroom opened and the other class was at the media center. The room was pitch black.
Everyone thought there was a ghost named Gus. On a tree there was a red pitch fork that had been carved. If your kids come home saying 'I think my school is haunted' you should believe him or her.

Comment by Janelle: I went there but I moved and I've seen Gus before. I know what you are talking about. The playground was built over an ancient burial ground.

If the house you are referring to is off of wampsutta pond where you found your TV / recliner I lived in that house 1967-69 and it has an extreme entity because it's an old Native American burial site on the south-east side of wampsutta pond.
