As being pretty ballsy kids, we ran to follow it. After following it we came to a bunch of giant boulders, and it looked like a black cat standing on the boulders, so we ran towards it. It scurried off again in the tree line. Behind a birch tree and bushes there it was again, but as a shape of a human peaking out behind the tree. As we approached it, it ran further into the woods where we eventually lost it. It wasn't the only experience we had

On the walking path that took you to the clearing, I and a couple friends were playing man hunt. At the time me and my little brother were

lying in the dirt off the side of the hill/path hiding. We both heard this deep loud growl come from right behind us, so we turned around thinking we just came face to face with a coyote, and there was nothing there at all. As the growls got more intense and as it just came out of thin air, we both ran out of the woods. Not to return for months later. They've built many properties over the land now. I hope the home owners don't encounter the same
