Able to now see, we walked several feet to the cute nook and cranny of the windows in the eaves of the house. Two electric candles were still on the sill. Neither were plugged in. Neither had an extension cord to be plugged in even if we wanted to. Neither glowed with light. ''Are you SURE they were on?'' I asked beginning to suspect paranormal activity. She wouldn't lie. ''POSITIVE!'' I went closer to examine

the candles and how they might have been plugged in. I pinched a bulb to see how tight the little bulbs were. ''Acchh!'' I put my thumb and finger into

my mouth to soothe them. ''Hot!''
With no one home, no other stairway, no transient hiding out, and no way to be plugged in, how had the candles glowed to catch our attention? And many many more unexplained incidents in the house. Especially when I played and sang ''Danny Boy'' at the piano. TRUE STORY!~ .
