Somewhere around 1970 I was headed north towards Pittsburgh, New Hampshire, while traveling Route 145 and Colebrook. I had just gone past Beaver Falls at 2:00 a.m. I saw a young girl approximately 11 or 12 years old that was walking on a dark road in the middle of the night alone. I was very concerned for her well-being, so I stopped and asked if she needed a ride. She said yes and got into the car. I asked her where she was going, and she said Stewartstown.

continued north on Route 145 until we got to Bear Rock Road where there was an old general store on the right hand side. She said this is where she would

like to get out. I offered to drive her directly to her home, and she said no this is fine and exited my vehicle.
Twenty years later I was discussing this with someone, and they said that they read an article in the Colebrook Chronicle where a young girl died at that intersection, and they periodically see her ghost in the area. The description in the article matched the girl that I gave a ride.
