I often feel a presence in my house but we are at peace with it. It is not an evil spirit and never attempts to do us harm. Rumors were that tea cups would levitate in what was the original kitchen. In the 20 years I have been here I have never experienced levitating china, however there have been unexplainable changes in room temperature and temporary power outages.
There is also the occasional re-arrangement of small furniture, one morning my dining room

china cabinet was completely re-arranged. Sometimes my daughter's toys go missing and are later found in the far corner of our unfinished basement.

children do not go into the cellar as it is cold and damp and is not even suitable for storage due to the dampness. I confess I rarely descend to the basement myself but the times I have been down there in the dim lighting I am quite certain that I am not alone.
The cold creeping chill, the lack of oxygen and the feeling that something or someone is with me watching my every move is enough to make me run back up the rickety old wooden stairs.
