My car broke down on Buck Street once. It was at night around 7:30 pm. Fortunately it was right where I could easily find a turnout. I found out later that was the park called Robert Frost Park. The car was old, thirty-five years old, so the break-down happened quite a lot, and I was used to it. I knew I just had to leave it for a while and try stat the engine again. I saw someone sitting on the bench smoking. (I saw smoke all around him.) I felt relief

he should have heard me opening the car door and closing and opening the hood. I decided I should say something, so I said it loudly ''hi my car just broke down.'' He didn't turn or say anything back. I realized maybe he just couldn't hear me, so I just went about my business and looked at the car.
