I lived in a house in the center of town near the general store back in 1994-1995 for only about a year. The house was quite large and I guess it used to be a church that had burned down way back in the early 1800's or so.
My first experience was in my own bedroom off of which was an enclosed porch with a wing seat. My younger sister and I were washing the window looking out onto the porch when the swing jut started swinging on it's own.

or any person was present. It started slowly then became fast and suddenly stopped. Another time I was in bed and it must have been around 11 pm or so

and my older sister whose room was above mine was causing all sorts of noise but what I assumed was here moving her furniture around.
It finally became all too annoying and I called to my mother to tell her to knock it off. My mother looked very surprised at me and told me my sister wasn't home and nobody was up there. Her room was above mine but separate from anyone else and there was only one staircase that led to her room.
