I got up briefly only to use the bathroom and having a strange feeling of exhilaration and then a calming feeling came over me. I then was able to fall asleep again. When I awoke that morning and went downstairs my parents were up and drinking coffee. As I started to tell them what had occurred during the night I was expecting a response of disbelief, but to my surprise both my parents looked genuinely shaken and both proceeded to light cigarettes.

My Dad sat quietly while my Mom looked at me and started to explain that there had been a very similar occurrence in the very same bedroom just after

WWII. It was while my aunt and uncle were staying with my grandparents who owned the home at that time. My uncle awoke to the woman sitting on the side of their bed, and she took him by his hand. He asked her what she was doing in their room, and she responded ''I live here. '' My Mom then went on to explain that they kept the story quiet, so as not to scare the children in the family.
My parents did sell the home shortly after the event. Moving
