My sister lived in an older house close to the Black Horse Pike in Bellmawr when her children were quite small (talking late 1960s here). The house had, at one point, been converted into apartments, one upstairs (where my sister and her family lived) and the owner of the house lived in the downstairs apartment.
Occasionally she'd ask me to babysit for my niece and two nephews, and it was never a very pleasant time for me--the kids were fine. It was the apartment that weirded

me out. Whenever I was there, I was fine as long as there was an adult present. Once I was alone with my niece and nephews, though, I kept getting the

sensation that someone or something was trying to strangle me.
I told my mother about it, and she just kind of dismissed it as a fear of strangulation making itself known, (for what it's worth, when I was born my umbilical cord wrapped around my neck and I was born tinged with a shade of blue) but this was a little too specific for me to just put it down to a fear arising from a birth memory -- I never had this sensation anywhere else but in that specific
