In 1969 myself and 3 others were hanging in and out of the world war bunker on the beach Cape May, not at the point but rather down a ways from the nunnery. We all saw a ship that looked like from old times with masts without sails on them moving from our left as we faced the water in front of the bunker towards the direction of the nunnery. Odd thing is it did not make any noise and appeared to be about 80 feet or so off the beach. It looked like a sailing vessel

from maybe the 18th or 19th century. We all saw it and described the same ship to each other. Submitted by Robert

Cape May has its very own ghost ship. There have been sightings of this ship for over 100 years. It's a small ship out in the ocean that appears for just a few seconds and then disappears. I have only seen it once myself but it made me a believer for life. If you go down to the beach keep an eye on the horizon and you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it. From what I have heard it is a ship that sank at around the early 1900s. Some of the crew went down with the ship and some made it to shore. Submitted by anonymous
