As the settlers started up the hill the Indians attacked. It was a firece battle but as history shows somehow the white man won. The chief was killed atop his white buck during the raid. The settlers drove the remaining Indians off their land.
But it is said that on the night of a full moon (just like that very night) you can see the chief lead the charge down the hill on his white buck. As we sat around the campfire that night were heard strange

noises.
No not animals of any kind. It was now around mid-night roughly. Just as we were turning in for the night. We saw a white blur in the distance
|
coming down the hill at a rapid speed. We also heard what we thought were whoops and howls (such as Indians make when attacking their enemies.
We saw shadow figures as well as the white blur coming down the hill even closer. Being yet fully dressed we ran down the mountain unlocked our bikes and peddled home as fast as we could. We slept in one of the guys yards on the deck.
Not wanting to wake his parents up for fear of being laughed at. Next
