Lived in old farmhouse on Rte 94 in the early 70s. It had a pond and a golf course in back it was next-door to another old white farmhouse. It was definitely haunted. I have since heard that many years ago it was knocked down.
Anyone familiar or ever live in a house like the one described (old white farmhouse/glass porch in front/side porch open.).

Comment by John: For a short time in 1982 my siblings and I lived in a farmhouse as you described with my aunt and cousins. I was 7. The farmhouse we lived in was also haunted and from your description (though small) stands out to me.
The house we lived in was laid longways (like the Amityville horror house) with the glass porch facing the main road. If you were looking at the house from the main road the pond was on the right hand side.
A barn was in the back as was a small cornfield. There was an upstairs which had two finished rooms (facing the back side of house - opposite end of the main road) and the rest of the upstairs looked like sections were laid out so that walls could be built for bedrooms.
If you walked into the house (from the glass porch as you described from the main road) you entered into the hallway. The living room was to the left as was the staircase to the second floor. A bathroom was behind the staircase.
On the right was a sitting room then a dining room. The kitchen was at the end of the hallway and there was another bedroom off of that (at the very end of the house). The secondary main entrance to the house was through the kitchen with an open porch.
If this is the same farmhouse a lot of freaky things happened while living there. You would feel someone tapping you as you slept. One night my cousin's boyfriend was attacked by an unseen force and thrown to the ground where he felt as though he was being strangled.
My siblings and I only lived there approx Oct '82-jan'83. My aunt and cousins stayed until about 1985. They said many more things occurred in that farmhouse. It didn't help that my aunt was practicing witchcraft and had voodoo dolls in the freezer, she was a witch at the time.

Comment by anonymous: The house you describe does not sound like the one I lived in. Facing the house from main road pond was on left not right, closet was under staircase. Entrance not like described. I believe home was once owned by Cox family.
Back in the 1970s there were apartments above the golf course... Cox apartments. Doubt they are still there. Lived in house 1973-1974... Freezing cold rooms, TV come on, clock stops, footsteps, apparitions.
