The abandoned Long Pond Ironworks complex is the most haunted place in the area. There are many active ghosts here, not as many as a century ago but still a fair number. I have personally seen two separate apparitions, one a young man and one older one.
Both of them appeared in front of me for a very brief moment and then disappeared, both happened like a flash. The ironworks has been abandoned for over a century, it's very spooky on it's own even

if you don't see any ghosts but chances are you will see a ghost if you go there.
My grandfather told me before he died 30 years ago that when he was

a kid they used to go out there and there were always ghosts. I don't know how many people died there in accidents and such but I assume it's many.
