Last year up at the observatory a private detective and myself of the Lehigh county Paranormal Society, while parked up on the top headlights on, all of a sudden we both saw a figure cross in front of us. There was no animal or anything of that sort, but my partner said it looked like someone in the turn of the century 1900 type clothes, a male. We had several names come across our meters. I understand there was a massive train wreck there, and several

people lost their lives, so maybe we encountered one.

I live in a house close to Main Street. The house was built in 1850. I have found bottles of Laudanum in the basement. I have also seen shadows and a woman dressed in a mid 19th century dress on the front porch. I have seen shapes and occasionally sounds. One night about three years ago I heard a noise like a heavy breathing animal in the upstairs bedroom. I turned on the light, and it stopped. I haven't heard it since. I burned a candle and said ''leave us alone,'' and that was it. No more sounds. The motion sensor light goes on and off when there is nobody in the basement. I have found odd bottles, children's toys in the walls, and notes left on the floor from a deaf woman behind a counter that I uncovered. I wonder if there are more secrets the house holds. My daughter saw a figure of a woman standing at her door when she was a teenager. That's all. Nothing scary.
