I used to live in a small with house on Monroe Avenue, and I would walk my dog up and down the street at night. One night as we were approaching the corner of Monroe and Warwick, I heard a siren, which was very common since there was a station right there.
My dog started barking uncontrollably. He didn't want to move. I was looking at the road expecting to see an ambulance coming soon, but there was none. Then there was this black figure swooshing by the

ambulance station.
I really saw it and got really scared. I managed to pull my dog towards home. He started to run, and so did I.
