I grew up in a home in Scotch Plains' north end - on Gary CT. I always had a frightened feeling in this house - ever since I can remember. One night my friend slept over - in the morning as I was waking, I looked over to where my guest was still sleeping and saw a white / semi transparent form floating over her.
This figure had clothes from the 1700's. Dressed in military clothes of that era including the tri-pointed hat style from the revolutionary

war. I was so young - in 2nd or 3rd grade - I didn't even know what revolutionary soldiers looked like yet.
Oddly enough - there was a little dog with

him. I watched him float for a few minutes and then finally said hey! He instantly vanished. Never saw him again. I can say that there have been other serious misfortunes on the same property for decades.
From before I lived there to long after we left. Too disturbing to say.
