Growing up I spent most of my time at my grandparents house on Robin Road with my twin sister and our older brother and sister. My grandfather built the house himself as well as my great grandparents home next door.
This was the house that my mother and all my aunts grew up in. Needless to say that although my grandmother was an amazing baker not all my memories were sugar and spice. The house always had a strange feeling to like you were being watched

and constantly turning your head quick and nothing was there.
Like many houses in the area it was large and spread out. You would dread the summers

when everyone was out at the pool and you had to make the lone trip into the house to use the bathroom you'd pray something didn't burst the door open.
There was an evil presence to the house the bedrooms and basement were the worst. The basement was entirely finished containing a speak easy style bar room with a dance floor a sitting area an office and a laundry room and cedar closet.
No one went down there alone. As an infant rooms were used as a nursery
