I grew up in Short Hills, NJ from the time I was about 3 until I was 15. I'll admit that I used to live on Elmwood Place by the Glenwood School... And as a child, frightened out of my mind. I disliked how at night I grew up as an insomniac. I swear I heard noises coming from the staircase; I never went into the basement for fear of the banging from the garage door & flickering of the lights in my dad's office, even when he wasn't home.

washing machine consistently paused often, and it was eerie when left alone. My bedroom was painted a girlish yellow, and as I became closer to packing

away my dolls and things to transition to middle school, I couldn't help but slam shut the door and scream. At night a flicker of something bright would ''fly'' near my dollhouse, yet, all the windows behind my bed were locked.
There was a constant staring from the American Girl doll on the floor of my closet and I would cry as she blinked even if I didn't touch her. None of these incidents happened during broad daylight---only during the evenings
