In 1976, my family and I resided in a home on the corner of Main and Sommerville in Spotswood above a real estate agent. The home was beautiful! It was a two-story brick with two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the kitchen, the second being stoned up. We were told that the home was around 200 years old, the same age as our country at the time.
When we first moved in, I was delighted to see that the attic had a stairwell access and

was partially finished. I thought it would make a great play area for my two daughters who were three and four. While cleaning up there, I noticed a frayed
|
rope hanging from one of the rafters. I thought, ok, that has to go or one of the girls may get hurt, so I cut it down. My oldest daughter, Jenny, took to her new play area quickly while the younger seemed to shy away.
Jenny played up there all the time with her dolls and her imaginary friend, Jammy. My wife went upstairs a few times when she thought she heard Jenny having a conversation with her new friend, of course, the conversations were
