I was working at a sporting good store in East Brunswick when we lived in Spotswood, and decided that no matter where they moved me next, we were staying here! I'll just commute. she said,''Oh, you're living there?'' I told her of our delight with the house and asked her if she knew anything about the history of the old place.

Unfortunately, she did and was more than willing to share her knowledge.
She proceeded to tell us how the home had been built for the magistrate of the county, a rich and powerful man with a beautiful young wife. He had a reputation of being rather possessive of his home, belongings and his young wife. I guess today we refer to her as a trophy wife. Well, as things would happen, she had an affair with the local blacksmith and he found out about
