Where Clove Acres Lake is today there used to be a house before they built the dam. There was a gruesome murder in that house. A woman killed her husband and then set the house on fire with herself in it.
She died in the flames and the spot where the house had stood was haunted after that. After the dam was built the area was flooded by the lake but you can still sometimes see a light from under the water where the house once stood.
That is the

light from the flames of the fire. And if you're quiet you can hear the woman scream in agony.
