The last day of our trip we asked the lady at the front desk if there was any paranormal activity at the hotel. She said that there was some weird things that happened on after hours. Mostly things going missing, but then she said that there was a lady that used to work there, and she lived in room 32 on the top floor that's were we were staying. It still makes my hair stand up on end just talking about it.

Regarding the photograph I think that may be a reflection of something across the street. If you look at the window to the right of the one you indicated it appears to have a less distinct version of the same image as though it too was reflecting the same object but from a slightly different angle.

My friends and I decided to rent a beach house this summer, June 2009, after graduating from High School. Initially, me and four of my friends were the first ones to arrive at the old farm house on Connecticut ave.When the cab driver dropped us off at the house, the last words he said were, ''be careful, it's a very old house. '' at the time, none of us really thought about what he had said, but we were soon to find out.As we explored the house we began noticing how old it really was. There were extremely old paintings and the mirrors in the house were especially creepy. It was as if the house had not been redecorated in ages.We decided to check out the basement, however, halfway down the stairs I got the coldest feeling in my body I have ever felt. The basement reminded me of one that would be in a horror movie. The walls were simply huge stones pieced together and the floor was dirt, and there was very limited lighting.Apparently all my friends were getting the same cold vibe I was, so we immediately ran back up the stairs making sure to bolt lock the door and place a chair in front of it. We all joked around about it, but deep down we were all pretty creeped out.Later that day, one of my friends found an extremely old family picture so he took it off the wall to show it to us. The back of the picture revealed that it was the dodge family from the mid 1800's.My friends and I joked around about the picture and how it was just our luck we rented such an old home. As the first day rolled into night, only me and two others were awake. I kept hearing noises throughout the house and my cold vibes began to return.My friends had been hearing freaky noises too, so we decided it would be best just to go to bed. Before we went to bed, though, I made sure to hang the family picture up back where we had found it.Because we were all so creeped out, I shared a queen bed with two of my friends upstairs, and my other two friends slept in a bed downstairs. As we laid in bed, one of my friends tensed up and said, ''oh my god! Did anyone else just see something in the corner of the room move? '' my other friend began freaking out because she claimed to see the same thing.I told them it was all in their heads and to just close their eyes, even though deep own I was more freaked out than ever. Soon after, my friend asked if we got a good look at the family picture.Just as he began saying how creepy the picture looked, the floor fan in our room went crashing down to the ground leaving us all screaming. My friend soon got the courage to stand it back up, making sure it was secure, however, only a few minutes later it came crashing down again.At that, we all began to freak out. I grabbed my cell phone to call my friends downstairs, but for some reason my phone refused to let me make calls. Every time I went to dial someone, the * button on my phone was being repeatedly pressed down somehow, making it impossible to do anything on my phone.My friends' phones were across the room and they refused to move from the bed, so we never got the call them. We all remained in the bed for the rest of the night as we were to scared to get up.The next morning seemed to take forever to arrive. Seeing daylight was a huge relief as I got no sleep that night. As we walked down the stairs to tell my friends what had happened, I noticed that the family picture I had hung back up was no longer there.Speechless, I looked over to my friends and the three of us were in disbelief. We figured my other two friends had moved it as a prank, however, before we could even ask them about it they said, ''nice try thinking you could scare us last night.We know you guys opened the basement door and put the picture next to it. '' as the words came out of their mouths my heart dropped. We told them what happened and how we never left our bed and we all began to cringe.Apparently my friend woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and found the basement door wide open with the picture placed next to it. She freaked out when she saw it, so my other friend shut the door thinking we had done cruel prank.I wanted to believe it was all a coincidence or that one of my friends was behind it all, but we all swore to each other it was not. We also noticed that many pictures we had taken the day before had distinctive energy orbs in them, furthering our beliefs that the house was haunted.We left the house with no lights on one day, but when we returned all the upstairs lights were on. The phone would continuously ring and there would be no answer. When we decided to unplug the phone from the wall it somehow found a way to plug itself back in.Out in the yard, a rock fell from the sky just a few feet in front of me and no one around. All of these things were no coincidence. I was never sure whether or not to believe in the paranormal, however, the week spent in that old farm house changed my perspective strongly.If you doubt the existence of ghosts, and are brave enough, I encourage you to visit a haunted house. Maybe you too will be able to experience the effects of the paranormal. .
