The worst encounter that happened to me was when my sister was babysitting for me and my brother, and we heard laughter and running upstairs. My sister grabbed a knife and walked upstairs and came back down and told us that she saw nothing.

I live in Coventry, RI and my house is haunted. The ghost is that of a woman. Her white figure can be seen by my bedroom window and her voice has been heard on occasion. She moves things around and there is almost always a writing/scraping sound similar to that of a pen on paper.
The noises, voice, and sightings are scary but none of them compare to the staring. About 70% of the time, me, my sibling, and my guests feel as if there is someone staring at them.
