The scariest year of my life was the year I lived on Elizabeth Street in Cumberland RI. Just off broad Street. I lived on the second floor second house on the street in a bad apartment. The third floor was unfinished and looked like every typical creepy attic old dusty stuff and creeky boards.
Yet every day and night we would hear footsteps walking back and forth. Everyone we know could hear them as well when they were over to visit not just us.

There was no access to the third floor except through my second floor apartment and I was 100% certain there was no one up there.
Aside from noises

there was something very dark and angry that seemed to have great fun terrorizing my two year old daughter. She fell downstairs several times scratching her face all up and tearing her skin several times.
I could watch her stand there and then as if someone unseen was there pushing her over she would fall down hard for no reason breaking both her two front teeth out before her second birthday poor girl wasn't even out of diapers but had already
