hallway and the bathroom door. She had actually been down in the basement the whole time having fallen asleep after watching a movie. The whole time he'd been getting mumbled responses from an unknown woman.
Also towards the end of our living there, my mother and I, on very different occasions, have both seen a figure of a small old woman in the basement hallway.
I wish I was making this up. I loved the house--it was my home... But I never

truly felt comfortable there-- not like I feel in my new home.

I was on the trails in the Mapleville Woods back years ago. I know these trails like the back of my hand, and it was just after sunset when I stumbled upon a trail I have never seen before. The weather turned, so I called it quit and headed back with the intention of going back to investigate that path the next day. To my astonishment I was unable to locate that trail ever again. I have poked around back there about a half dozen times since and cannot find that trail. I thought afterward that this was significant because of an old witch story that's been around about a house that was supposedly seen in the middle of the woods. I had read another story on here about an enchanted house in those woods and felt compelled to share my experience of that eerie night where it seemed like I had maybe stumbled into some sort of bewitched area of woods.
