Hi, I live right off of River Street. Technically the front of my house faces River Street. I haven't had any paranormal experiences but was curious to know which houses have.

Comment by Susan: I assume you live either on High Street or Lincoln Street. I no longer live in the house, and I would hate to put another person's address on the internet with the stigma that can be associated with hauntings. I'll say it's the house across from the pool.

My family lived on River Street for many years in a mill house that was built in 1912 (my grandfather on one side us on the other. My father also grew up here.) My family and I always heard things like faint voices and footsteps. I even felt my ankle being pulled on one night while I was in bed. My mother always told my sister and I that it was just the spirits of our family members watching over us protecting us. Everyone who ever came to visit us always said they heard the footsteps and sensed something there. One of my aunts even refused to come over and visit after being there one night babysitting my sister and me. My family sold this house in 1991 after my grandfather passed away. I don't know who owns it now, but there was definitely multiple entities when we lived there. I'd love to know if the people who live there now have had similar experiences.

Comment by anonymous: I have a friend that lives on River st and swears it is haunted! Doors found open that were closed lights turned on cabinets open in the kitchen.
Comment by Susan: Dear anonymous poster that commented on my former house. I'm curious if we are talking about the same house as there are only 5 houses (3 are double family mill houses) on that street and 2 apartment buildings. I grew up here and knew just about everyone on the street and surrounding 2 blocks. I'd love to know more about your friends experience and which house they were in. The house we lived in was renovated after we moved, and I've heard that things like that can make paranormal activity more frequent and stronger. I'll be looking forward to your reply!.
