I was recently reminded of a story told to me when I was young by my mother's uncle, who had fought in World War II with a gentleman from Jamaica, Vermont who told him the story of the ghost of Green Baker. I recall my great uncle being very convincing in his telling. It has been a long time so my recollection of details is sporadic, but I thought I would pass it along in case there is someone who may have a memory of it.
From what I remember, there was

a rail line that used to go through that area with a station in Jamaica. Green Baker was a longtime station master, or ticket taker, or someone that worked

in the station his entire life. If I remember correctly, he was related to someone that fought in or had something to do with the Revolutionary War, but I do not recall the name or relevance. I think the railway closed down because of a bad accident or a series of mishaps, and Green Baker was to lose his job. This part is a little sketchy, but he locked himself in the station, or something, and refused to leave. After several unsuccessful attempts to remove
