I traveled to Killington to visit my mum's house recently after my dad's passing to cheer her up. It was a small wooden cabin in the middle of the woods, so it was a bit chilling to get there when it was pitch black at around 10:30 p.m. When I entered the house, I noticed my mum was sleeping, so I tried to be as quiet as possible.
When I walked into the room where I usually slept and I turned the light on, it had looked as if someone had been staying

in there recently, which was strange since I was usually the only one who slept in there. It had also felt much cooler than in the main family room.

first all of this had felt like no big deal, and I suspected that there were probably normal reasons. That night I struggled to fall asleep, and I constantly heard a faint ringing noise in my head. The next morning I asked my mum if someone had been staying in my room. She said that she hadn't entered that room in two weeks, and the last time she did it was perfectly clean.
