The next morning she and her family told me other stories about a strange ghostly presence in the house like footsteps and beds levitating off the ground when they were asleep. They could also hear whispers. The ghost seemed to mean no harm and kept to itself mostly, so there had never been a problem for them. Maybe not to them considering

they were all girls, (even the dog) but for me obviously the ghost has some issues.

I lived in an old mansion at the eastern end of Muddy Lane back in 1978. We would hear footsteps upstairs, and when we checked there was no one up there. One morning I woke up feeling like I was being stared at. When I opened my eyes I was staring into the face of a Native American child around the age of 3 or 4. It slowly faded from sight. I was not frightened since it was after all just a child and obviously meant me no harm.

I was walking up Highland Avenue late one night after getting out of the movies in the price chopper center or rt. 30. I had heard rumors that way before the road was built, the area used to be an old Mohawk Indian war path which led to the Albany Colony back in the French and Indian war and later on the American revolution but me being as skeptic as I am laughed it off.
