There was this hiker than went up in the mountains in the 1970s and never came back down. He went missing and they never found him. Ever since then there have been sightings of a 1970s style hiker in the mountains right outside of town.
He has appeared in front of live hikers and then disappeared again. Quite a common sighting and probably not dangerous. He's probably trying to communicate to the living about what happened to him.
