that it needed to leave. The walking stopped. At no time did I feel threatened. My son in the past had said a couple of times he and his friends did also experience a woman at our home. The woman was said to have slapped or touched one of the girls' behind when she was partly asleep. I also myself did have another different experience a few years later. The house is a short walk up a path from Canoe Brook itself.

Just to also continue about my sighting of a small image at the foot of our bed in Putney, Vermont explained by Alan M (me). There is also a large pond about 100 feet away from the house! About 5 years before the sighting inside our home I also had a really strange experience of first feeling watched. (This was during the day time.) After hearing sort of voices in the woods mumbling back and forth I then called out to the voices. No answer. I listened for any cracking of leaves or branches. None! This went on for a bit ! The air was silent and no sounds at all. No birds, etc! Then as fast as this started, I then didn't feel watched. The sound of life returned. Please keep in mind also! All surrounding sounds just weren't there!.

We were at the old meeting house in Rochester, VT. We were looking for our Davis ancestors buried there. I went to holler at my daughter that I found one. I looked up to see a man dressed in black with a black hood. He moved from behind Mr. Olcott grave memorial to behind another. A few days later I dreamt he said his name was Nathaniel Davis. He was afraid of us because we were Indians. Several buried there were killed in an Indians raid.
