I'm from Delmar, DE and from an old (100) farmhouse which was quite haunted. The clearest thing to happen was a man in his 20s and an old fashioned (1800s) suit sitting on my bed or in my room as I was sleeping and waking up. When he sat next to me I could feel the weight of a person on a mattress, but he would fade as I became more aware of him. My mom was also raised in the area on a nearby farm and told me that a tree on a neighboring field was taken

down by the fire depot, which made her happy because it was called ''the hanging tree.'' I agree with the poster from Laurel saying that there is dark

history.
I wrote an essay on Patty Canon in elementary school after I found a book about her in the rare book room at Salisbury Library. She was from MD and had a dungeon and graveyard on her property to process captured free black people to sell back to the south as slaves. I certainly hope some of the hidden areas in my old house were for Underground Railroad use.
My aunt also told me that the old railroad tracks were used for segregation
