My grandmother used to tell me a story about what had happened to her when she was a little girl. This must have happened to her in the early 1920s. There was an old lady running a small store down on the corner and her mom (my great grandma) sent her down to buy some groceries.

She went down and bought the groceries from the old lady and came back home. When she returned home it turns out she forgot to buy sugar which was on the shopping list. My grandma went back down to the corner to get sugar but now the store was closed with a note saying the old lady had passed away the day before.
The old lady had sold my grandmother groceries after her death! How weird is that.
