I grew up on Franklin st just up from 5 points. The house I grew up in used to be a convent for the nuns for the church across the street. The house is at least 100 yrs old. Growing up in that house I've experienced many different things however the most vivid for me was when I would sleep in living room. I would wake in night to multiple black figures moving throughout the house. This was most concerning to me because the figures were blacker than the night and I believe they were evil. I was young at the time (10yrs or so) but I will never forget the many times I awoke to these black figures.

All I could do was pull the covers over my head because I was paralyzed by fear. When I go back to Auburn to visit I see that house and I cannot believe I grew up there.

Comment by Valerie: It's possible that they were the spirit of the nuns who used to live there. Maybe they appeared to you not to scare you or cause you harm, but as a way of asking you to pray for them since they can't ask directly.

A house on Capitol Street in Auburn has had many sad deaths associated with it. In the late 1800's a man name George died in the basement when he was trying to hook-up electricity. In the 1990's a 65 year old lady died in the living room.
