I would hurry out of the bathroom and no one was ever there. My mother saw a little girl sitting in a chair in our living room and when she went toward the girl she vanished. One night my sister and I were laying in bed when we heard a loud crashing sound. We were too scared to move. When our parents came in our room we found that our lamp had a hole in the middle of it while still standing up right. Submitted by Nevermind

The location was on Evergreen Avenue, between Westchester and Watson Avenue. I lived at this apartment as a kid in the early 1980s. It all started about two weeks after we moved in. We heard footsteps, whispering at night, and the oven door in the kitchen opening and closing hard. My brother saw a small boy playing in the second room which we only used to keep our toys. When my mother was alone in the apartment during the A. M. Hours (my brother and I were in school and dad at work) and taking a shower she saw and heard the bathroom doorknob turning as if someone wanted to open the door.

One night my mom, my brother and I had to lock ourselves in the master bedroom (until dad came home from work) because the noises in the kitchen (chairs moving, oven door opening and closing) and the loud steps in the living room were too much for us. At one point we thought the apartment was being robbed. The night before we moved out was the worst. All our furniture was inside of the moving truck except two mattresses we used to sleep on. As soon as the lights turned off it all started again, but this time it was so loud. The steps, the oven door, and the loud whispering were so loud. Strange thing was that my dad never heard or saw anything. He was asleep in just minutes. Submitted by Jose

Well. I live near the Bronx River. This all took place in the park. I was with a couple of friends and we were hanging out until 5 pm. I wanted to go home but one of my friends kept insisting to stay.
