I was born and raised in Amboy, which is a small hamlet in Camillus. It is located near the Eerie Canal. The house in which I grew up and several others in the area had occupants that no longer were living.
As a child I can remember seeing shadows, hearing voices, hearing footsteps, and having things move from place to place when no one had been there. As I grew up, I realized , friends, other family members, even my children had experienced unusual things in my parents home.

The house was sold a few years ago. I found out later that as many as eight homes in a one mile radius seem to be inhabited by, for lack of a better word, ghosts.

Comment by Friend of A resident: Very creepy indeed. One of my coworkers who is a manager stated he moved to this town. Stated that his child always saw a man with a tophat and a bell. When he brought it up with a neighbor one day the neighbor stated that his son sees the same exact thing.
Very very intriguing... He currently still lives in the home as the presence is not threatening, and although his daughter sees the man with the top hat she is not particularly scared of him and he has not done anything that seems threatening.
