This house was it blue?.

I was a tenant in a house that had loud house shaking thuds from the front apartment upstairs, but there was no one renting that apartment. My husband even managed to get into it right after one particularly loud thud and no one was up there.
It happened so frequently day and night we got no sleep. The man in the back upper apartment had been a tenant for years but all of a sudden could no longer keep his apartment warm and heard constant running water and other noises from the other side of the wall.

We believe either the former tenants of that apartment brought something with them and it stayed or they woke somethng up because it only happened once they moved in and continued after they left.
