in college at the time, even stayed with me there on occasion. However, he didn't stay long as the pictures in his room would shine brightly at night with no light on, and he felt it was haunted there. One night I came home from a late date in the city and made my way up to bed almost right away. I could hear the old man's deep snoring from his bedroom in the front of the house on the second floor where ''my'' bedroom was in the rear of the home.

After being in bed for about five minutes, I noticed the room was getting colder and colder even though the water heaters were blasting. I got up and

checked outside the room, and it was hot in the hallway as the old man always put up the heat in the winter, so I thought it was strange that the room I was sleeping in was actually cold. Then the bad stuff started to happen.
At first when I was lying there in bed again I heard a soft high clinking sound of metal repeatedly clanking. Then I saw that a brass latch on one of the vanities was moving back and forth off the wooden dresser repeatedly.
