Several houses and apartments on River Street are old and are known to be haunted by several ghosts and even have some demonic activity.

About 12 years ago I was residing at an apartment on Olive Place in Hornell. On several occasions the property not only produced unsettling feelings, it also provided compelling evidence as to suggest it being inhabited by an entity. While I was in the ''dining area'' adjacent to the kitchen, an outline of a person rushed out from the kitchen directly at me.

Then weeks later whilst sitting in the living room and looking into the kitchen around 12:00 pm, the shadows began to elongate and darken as though they were looming menacingly. Years later it was told to me that the house was blessed and contained an entity.

Back in 1993 my father passed away. About 6 months later me and my girlfriend at the time we're at my parents house on Willow Place and we were watching a movie. No one else was in the house we both starting hearing footsteps upstairs. The footsteps sounded like someone was walking around. Thinking that someone broke in the house I went upstairs to see what it was. I saw nothing. But ever since my father passed away that house creeped me out!!!.
