approximately 2015.

The present middle school formerly the high school was built on a site of the Otis Lincoln hotel, 1897 construction was commenced. Tunnels under the present school are possibly part of the ''underground railroad'' built to hide and help evading slaves from the south to the north.
There are also tunnels under the stately buildings located on Main Street across from the present gas station. Many slaves deaths were not accounted for, it is possible that their souls are still trapped in those dark chasms.
Records also indicate mention of an Indian burial ground under the present school.
approximately 2013.
