There is an Indian burial Mound on that spot and an ancient ritual spot. I saw an ancient Indian dressed in full regalia at the tower and he disappeared as I looked at him. My girlfriend is a practicing witch and she says that area is hallowed and is a spot that is open

Comment by Brian: I live right by there also and I agree with you. And your girlfriend should really really stop practicing witch in Jesus Christ name amen, no good, especially if you don't know what you are doing. Nothing to play with, just ask her to stop please.

There is a very clear bluish mist on Pines Bridge Road right before you pass over the Taconic Parkway (after you pass Shingle House Road - it's a few houses down) heading west. On a clear night it glows in your headlights always right in front of the driver's side of the car and it is swirling sort of upward like chimney smoke - only it is in the road and there is no manhole or anything there.
