The Mansion. I played at the Mansion growing up. It was filled with crawl spaces and secret rooms. The whole house seemed hollow. Your skin would crawl as you felt you were being watched. We were never to go in the cellar. It was said to be a part of the Underground Railroad. There was a hole in the floor. A tunnel caved in. It was told to us that the owner's mother fell through the Mansion's glass plated windows that faced the street. You could see her

shadow and feel her looking out.
Mrs. Sheen a retired school teacher and foster parent told us she could hear the echoes as she took her cows across

the road. Mr. And Mrs. Sheen owned the house across from the Mansion. Friends also lived there as I got older. You could hear doors open and close. Footsteps on the front stair case said to be Mr. Sheen going out the milk the cows. We would go into that cellar looking to hidden tunnels. So many more tales near the legion post. There is an empty lot no one has built on it. I was told once there was a fire that destroyed a house there. Many died in it. Late at
