I've heard this story before. I live in that area and have walked those streets numerous times at all times of the day. Something may be going on there. I snapped this picture walking on the park road after it was closed.
Heard noises in the trees so I took out my cell phone for the flashlight function. Can't explain the picture.

I was running on the Wantagh parkway path by Cedar Creek park. I saw something very similar to this photo. It was a 5 pm at night and the sun was almost down. Been creeped out for years thinking about this.
