The footsteps went on for awhile. They were loud enough that I once captured them on tape while recording a song from the radio. By that time it was all so common place for me that these unusual things became part of everyday life. It changed who I was though. I was fascinated with the paranormal. I believe in their existence but not enough to ever ghost hunt. I learned long ago this is not a realm to mess around with.
To this day I could

that house and never left scared me enough to never consider it a family home that I would ever want to revisit again. Submitted by Mimi

I live on 2nd Street. I've always heard noises such as footsteps or the floors creaking. My dad used to say it was the house shifting due to the fact that it's a bit uneven, and the house is old. My cousin has told me he's seen a tall man with a black top hat go through my closet door years ago. It's always really really cold in the closet even if I left it open, and I thought that was weird.
I walked past my mom's room a day ago and saw the exact shadow black figure he was talking about. My mom always says that she cannot sleep in there without the TV on. She refuses to have any sorts of mirrors in there. I thought it was because she grew up in a home that was haunted when she was younger, but she recently admitted she feels like something is in her room.
