One night in March of 1978 my good friend Steve Breen had one too many beers and decided to go for a swim in the river. I was there and I had even more to drink and I thought it was a great idea, there were four of us all together, all drunk.
Well Steve jumped in and swam about 100 yards straight out. We called to him to turn back but he kept going. The water was ice-cold and poor Steve cramped up and sank like a rock. It was too dark to go after him

and all we could do was to call the police from a nearby payphone.
A few days after he died we went down to the river to reflect and he came out of

the water. We were all in complete awe. Then when he was about halfway to his waste he faded away. After that I heard of other people seeing him just like we had.
As far as I know it's still going on. I've been told that it's not really Steve but a demon impersonating him. What would a demon gain from that? Well I don't know but I hope Steve is at peace somewhere.
