Comment by John: This is in the woods behind our house. My grandparents built this house in the 1930s. My mom remembers this happening when she was a child and state police investigating this were on horseback. There are other graves at Hagan's Hill that are very old and worn headstones which are very hard to read.
I have had a lot of strange things happen to me there all through my life (I'm 64 years old). There are now coal strippers and gas wells there and no trespassing signs all around with security guards.
At the base of the hill. About 5yrs ago they caught my son and some friends there and were going to prosecute them but we talked to the owner and he issued a stern warning not to go there again. I can see why because it is dangerous walking esp at night with all the ditches.
The graves are relocated at the top of the hill under the power lines. I would suggest that no one should try to get there now.
Comment by Amy: I'm 39 my friends and I used to walk up Hagen's Hill all the time. Same memories I even have old photos somewhere - an uphill hike and several small grave markers right under the power line. I was recently telling my kids about it and they wanted to go. So you aren't allowed up there anymore?.
