As far as the Cornwall Iron furnace goes it's true. You can hear them most definitely. The staff will tell you a different story but it is most definitely true; it is very haunted, not only by dogs.

Comment by Dave: The story about the dogs didn't even happen at Cornwall furnace it was at nearby Colebrook furnace which is no longer standing.

I used to work at a veterans home called American House, it's located on 9th St. Anyway I worked 3rd shift and would have to do hall and room checks.. One night I went up to the 3rd floor, and as I turn the corner from the stairs and look down the long hallway I notice a little girl in a white dress with pigtails looking at me. I was stuck, I couldn't move, then she just turned and walked straight through a door..
Another incident was when I was in the basement doing laundry, a stick we had on top of the dryer just came flying towards me and no the dryer was not on. As I turned to run there was a lady standing by the sink staring at me..
I walked out of there that night and never returned... You can feel someone watching you and you can feel bad vibes there... I was told it was a military hospital long ago and also a motel for soldiers, very very creepy place.
